Garden Thumb is a happy team of enthusiastic gardening and landscaping professionals. We are based in Mogo NSW and service the Batemans Bay area from Long Beach to Tuross Head.
We specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of beautiful outdoor spaces and gardens. We are qualified in Landscaping, Building and Construction, Horticulture, Agriculture, Permaculture, Bush Regeneration, Conservation & Land Management, and more.
Garden Thumb owner Byron Dixon left his corporate life over ten years ago to pursue his real passion, nature and the outdoors. He surrounded himself with like-minded creative and passionate people to build Garden Thumb into Eurobodalla’s biggest and best landscaping and gardening business.

Meet The Team
Horticulturist, Permaculturist, Designer, Landscaper and Business Owner. Byron loves the outdoors and loves his family. He likes music, gardening and a BBQ with friends. His goal is to build an ethical business loved by both employees and clients alike.
Project & Operations Manager. Peter has 35 years of building experience in the construction industry. His passions include cooking, family, camping and bushwalking, tinkering with cars and rocking out on the dance floor!
Landscaper, Gardener and All Rounder. Dave’s undying passion is surfing, surfing and surfing. When the surfs not up, he loves to delve into his music or golf.
Darren is an experienced gardener and nurseryman, with parks and gardens being his formal education. He is in abundance with creative flare, both in gardening and landscaping. Darren is a family man, enjoying his time by the ocean often with a fishing line in hand.
Landscape labourer, earthmover, heavy machinery operator and all-round handy man. Al is our cheery ‘get things done’ kind of guy. Quick witted and always up for a laugh, Al is a family man at heart and after work loves to kick a ball around with his boys.
Gardener, landscape labourer and land management practitioner/firefighter extraordinaire. Greg brings an aura of experience to the team having previously worked with National Parks and Forestry Corporation. Outside of work, Greg enjoys a good road trip, camping out in nature as well as the odd round of golf.
Horticulturist, nurseryman, landscape labourer and gardener. Sam has a keen eye for plant propagation/cultivation which also ties in to a love of cooking and growing his own food.
Gardener, landscape labourer and land management practitioner. When Emerson isn’t tending to his apiary of beehives you will find he has either gone surfing or diving at any number of spectacular spots along the south coast.
Pronounced Aglay, Qualified Landscape Designer (Landscape Architecture, Bachelor of Engineering). Egle has a beautiful, gentle and caring nature. She was born and raised near the Baltic Sea, in Lithuania. Design is in her DNA with a very artistic family. Egle likes spending time with her young family, travelling and theatre.
Back office specialist and Accountant. An outdoorsy gal who is qualified in Agriculture and Conservation Land Management. Kathryn loves her children and loves her cows. No mention of husband! Skiing, swimming and vegie gardens are also hobbies of Kathryn.
